Generally we had a really good holiday, we stayed at Residence dei Flori in Pietra Ligure
Residence dei Flori is a family run establishment and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our rooms did not have air conditioning which we knew in advance, it was very hot in our rooms and I am surprised that there is no Air conditioning as it is defiantly needed.
The Pool area was good for families however was in need of some renovation. The standard was ok but it could be improved
When we arrived were explained that after one week we would receive new linen that we had to pay for. We understood when we booked that we had to pay for linen and that we could request new linen after one week if we wanted but that it was optional but when we arrived it seemed that we had to have the new linen after one week we could not decide.
The location of Residence dei Flori is not so good if you are a family with small Children and want to use the town and the beach. It's located on a hill outside the town. The nearest beach is about 20 mins to 30 mins walk and the town is 30 to 40 minutes walking. So you need to have a car if you don't want to walk so far. The nearest supermarket is about a 20 min walk 5-10 minutes by car. Parking in the town costs approx 1 euro per hour and it's difficult to park. It's a good idea to be aware of these things before you decide to stay in Residence dei Flori
The town was very nice, a Market on some days which was great to buy local Italian specialties. The Beaches were also good despite not being sand, you can choose between private & public beaches
The location of Residence dei Flori is very good if you want to make day trips by car. It's very close to the Autostrada dei Flori so gives you easy access to differnt places. We went to Finale Ligure, The water park at Ceriale, Nice,San Marino, The caves at Toirano
Would defiantly go back to the area but not sure if I would stay at Residence dei Flori and thats due to it's location.
